Boys Basketball The Boys Basketball team really showed their true colors this year. Working hard and bonding paid off for the boys’ team. With the new gym anxiously awaiting screaming basketball fans, the boys’ team took their opportunity and ran with it. With the help of Garfield’s very own Sonny Johnson, the boys increased their winning record this season. “I am really impressed with the team this year, especially our big guys inside, they put a lot of hard-work and dedication into this team” said, Head Coach, Sonny Johnson. The team says their success was getting to know each other on and off the court. “From our greatest achievement we were able to do something Garfield has not done in about ten years, which was beat Warrensville Heights,” said Junior, Marcus Mitchell. With a great coach, and many dedicated players, the Boys Basketball program is sure to flourish here at Garfield Heights High School!
