Music Express & Choir


 

Music Express. Unless you’ve personally seen them in action, it’s impossible to convey the talent and dedication that is required to pull off even the simplest of routines. Music Express is many things: fine-tuned singing, carefully choreographed dance routines, and music supplied by the talented Music Express Combo Band. The competition is fierce to join this particular activity. Students must audition, already be part of another school choir, and display the dedication and commitment to  be an active part of this group. There can be no weak links afforded here and everyone must be at the top of their game. In addition, show choirs such as this one are rare in themselves. Not every district can boast an activity such as this: one thing that helps to distinguish Garfield Heights from other schools. This year, Garfield Heights was host to a show choir competition that drew in over a dozen teams from all over the state. Music Express drew several standing ovations and wild applause from the entire audience. If you ever get the change to see these fine artists in action, it’s an opportunity not to be missed!
